Oka' works in partnership with ASCOG with communities across the region to help them access funding opportunities. Our work most frequently involves assisting communities with REAP (Rural Economic Action Plan) grants, which support infrastructure improvements and community development projects throughout rural Oklahoma.

Our role centers on helping local governments prepare strong and competitive grant applications. By gathering community data, conducting assessments, and compiling detailed reports, Oka' helps communities prioritize their needs and provides them with the necessary tools to complete a competitive grant application.

While REAP grants represent the primary focus of this work, Oka' also assists communities in pursuing opportunities connected to environmental services initiatives and rural fire defense programs, depending on the needs identified by each community.

Through this process, communities are better positioned to write a competitive grant narrative to secure funding that supports infrastructure improvements, public safety resources, and long-term regional development.
