Pontotoc Ridge Prescribed Burn Association

The Pontotoc Ridge Prescribed Burn Association (PRPBA) is a community-based organization formed in March 2010 through a collaboration between the Pontotoc County Conservation District, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and The Nature Conservancy. Serving Pontotoc and Johnston counties in Oklahoma, the PRPBA assists landowners in conducting prescribed burns to manage invasive species, reduce wildfire risks, and restore native plant communities. Members share equipment, labor, and expertise to safely implement controlled burns, thereby enhancing the health and productivity of local ecosystems.
