The Pi Institute at JOOUST and the Oka’ Institute at East Central University have come together to strengthen their partnership that began in 2018 with the First International Short Course in Integrated Water Resource Management held in Bondo, Kenya. Since then there has been an ongoing International Short Course hosted at ECU and the partnership continues to grow. Most recently, JOOUST Vice Chancellor Dr. Stephen Agong is a visiting professor at ECU working on multiple grants and providing invaluable insights and expertise in the field of integrated water resource management. ECU and JOOUST continue to collaborate on multiple platforms shared agenda involving the Oka' Institute and the Pi Institute aiming to provide collaboration on water resources in the US and Kenya.
