How to Experience Oka' Conference

STEP 1: CREATE A ZOOM ACCOUNT (or if you have an account, know your login information)

Zoom requires that you be signed into a Zoom account whether you watch via the app or your browser. If you already have a Zoom you will need your credentials for the account.

Now is the time to reset your password if needed. You can create a new account or reset your password here to Create a Zoom account

STEP 2: LOG IN TO HERE WITH YOUR REGISTRATION PASSWORD FOR THE CONFERENCE

When you have signed in with your password you will be able to view the buttons that will allow you to join the Zoom Webinars!

JOINING LIVE SESSIONS

You must sign in here with your registration password to find the links to live webinars. In ease session, you will see a link to view the buttons that will allow you to join the Zoom Webinars!

STEP 3: CHOOSE HOW TO VIEW THE ZOOM WEBINARS — VIA THE ZOOM CLIENT APP OR THROUGH YOUR BROWSER.

The preferred method to join is through the Zoom Client app for full functionality. If you choose to view in your browser you will lose certain functionality such as not being able to participate in session polling.

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS FOR PARTICIPATING.

  • During a session, attendees will be in a listen-only mode. Speakers and Moderators can speak and share their screens, but attendees will not be able to turn on their microphone or video.

  • Send questions to the speakers with the Q&A function. You will be able to view other attendee's questions and upvote questions.

  • In some sessions, we will be using the polling feature. To answer a poll please click one of the answer options provided. Polls may not display for all attendees, depending on your device or browser.

  • Pay attention to the chat. As an attendee, you will be able to see the information provided in the chat from a host, moderator, or speaker. You can't chat back here but remember, questions can be sent in the Q&A function!

What About Networking Activities?

We're glad you asked! The networking activities will take place by Slack.

Slack is a platform that allows you to communicate via chat during the entire two-day conference.
