The Oka’ Institute is currently seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team to support our vision of building sustainable communities, promoting environmental benefits through land stewardship, seeking balanced water policy, and innovating science research. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing geographic data and creating detailed maps and visualizations. This position has opportunities to grow the ideal candidate professionally, and to the degree that the ideal candidate has an interest in.

In this role, you will work closely with our team of researchers and scientists to support ongoing projects and initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate will perform data development, data layer creation, and cartographic displays (ESRI Suite, Google, and other software programs) that assist in decision making and science-based mapping tools to help understand complex environmental natural resource interactions. This position requires job dedication, team, and individual interactions with driven processes, including QA/QC, and distinct deadlines in order to provide quality to client-requested products and services.
