Sustainability Conference

Oka’s annual Sustainability Conference connects experts from state agencies, utility, diverse industries, as well as science and academia and stakeholders, to address water issues concerning our state.

The goal of this event is to ensure Oklahoma's water sustainability for the future by sharing resources between organizations and individuals interested in water. ​

Day 1

Water as an Economic Driver

Join Oka' for a virtual meet up with companies who have successfully commercialized.


 Learn how they became successful from the idea to, implementing the business plan. Next, we will hear about the needs of our communities for new and better technology and innovation. Throughout the day Oka' takes you on three virtual tours that showcase innovation and technology right here in Oklahoma.  

Then get your questions ready because we will meet back up for a question and answer session with our speakers.

Agency Updates and Policy Directives

Today Oka' will bring you a full day conference even in the morning we will connect you with our local government agencies.


You will hear updates from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, Department of Environmental Quality, Oklahoma Rural Water Association, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, Tourism, National RWA also hear from elected official Sec. Ken Wagner.

Field Research Projects-Locally and Globally

After lunch Get a local perspective on the research  A with and update on Oka's Eastern ASA Hydrology Study, get and update from NEON on the Blue River, TNC—ecosystem services and find out all about Oklahoma's new EPSCoR Grant--Dr. Hank Jenkins-Smith.


Also, get a global viewpoint form, Dr. Barney Austin. Lastly, get a chance to ask agency leaders your own question in an afternoon question and answer wrap up.
